Ratings: Peter Hartley shines as Jamshedpur FC beat NEUFC

The Men of Steel earned their first win of the season.
The match between Jamshedpur FC and NorthEast United FC was a scrappy affair with lots of unconverted chances. Ultimately, Jamshedpur had the last laugh in front of a capacity home crowd to earn their first three points and move to the top half of the table. The match also saw NorthEast's head coach Marco Balbul being sent off for the second time in the season for dissent against referees.
In light of these, let us take a look at how the players of the respective teams played on the field.
Jamshedpur FC
TP Rehenesh - 7.5
Rehenesh played his part quite effectively in today’s victory. He saved both the shots which where on target. Additionally, he made two clearances and caught the ball once.
Laldinliana Renthlei - 7.0
Renthei had a good game today. He had 48 touches in total and provided stability to Jamshedpur FC’s defence. He made one successful tackle, five clearances, and four successful interceptions. But he was not effective going up.
Pratik Chaudhari - 8.0
Pratik delivered a wonderful performance in today’s game. He was rock solid at the heart of Jamshedpur FC’s defence and partnered well with Hartley. He had 53 touches in total and made 33 passes. Furthermore, he made one successful tackle, 10 clearances, and three successful interceptions.

Peter Hartley - 9.0
Hartley was perhaps the best player on the pitch. Despite being a centre-back, he took two shots and scored the winning goal as well. He had 60 touches in total and made 41 successful passes, the highest for his side. He was clinical in defence as well and made one successful tackle, one clearance, one successful interception, and blocked one shot too!
Ricky Lallawmawma - 7.5
Ricky was in shape today. He had the highest number of touches for his side, namely 71. He also delivered 38 successful passes. Moreover, he whipped in two crosses and made three clearances.
Boris Singh - 8.0
Boris was perfect on the right flank He whipped in three quality crosses throughout the match. He directly contributed to the creation of three chances. It was an all-round performance from him.
Wellington Priori - 8.5
Priori played a 'pivotal' role against NorthEast United. He glanced one shot and created two chances. The Brazilian took four free-kicks, floated in four crosses, and delivered five corners, many of which looked dangerous. He also made two successful tackles and interceptions each.
Farukh Choudhary - 6.0
Farukh was decent for his side tonight. He took three shots, had 54 touches, and made 29 passes. He also made two successful interceptions.
Ritwik Das - 6.5
Ritwik performed quite decently in the game. He was impactful whenever Jamshedpur FC went up. He whipped in one cross, took a shot, and created one chance.
Daniel Chima Chukwu - 8.0
Chima looked very dangerous playing upfront. He registered five shots in total, two of which were on target. He was good in his defensive duties as well as he made one successful tackle and five clearances.
Harry Sawyer - 7.5
Sawyer provided the assist from which Jamshedpur scored. He looked sharp in attacks and partnered well in Chima to create problems for NorthEast United. He took three shots in total, many of which were threatening.
Substitutes
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas - 4.5
Emmanuel-Thomas’ outing for Jamshedpur did not go well. His partnership with Chima might take time to flourish. In today’s game, he was not effective. He took only one shot, which was a bad miss.
Jitendra Singh - N/A
Jitendra was on the pitch for around 16 minutes. However, he was not able to do anything within this span of time.
Ishan Pandita - N/A
The story is the same with Pandita as well, who came on when the team was leading. Hence, he did not have the liberty to do much on the offence.
Muhammad Uvais - N/A
Uvais was on the pitch for only around two minutes.
NorthEast United
Mirshad Michu - 7.0
Mirshad’s game today was satisfactory. Barring the single goal, where he had almost nothing to do to save the ball, he looked confident. He made two saves out of the three attempts that he faced. Notably, he denied Chima of a brilliant goal in the second half.
Joe Zoherliana - 5.5
Joe had a bad game today. He was not effective going up, nor was he sturdy in defence. He floated in only one cross throughout the game. The right-back made only one tackle, clearance, and interception a piece.
Mashoor Shereef - 8.0
Mashoor was in good form today. He looked composed in the defensive third and played his part well. He made four successful tackles, six clearances, and one interception throughout the time he was on pitch. He also aided in creating one chance.
Aaron Evans - 7.5
Evans looked solid at the heart of NorthEast’s defence. He was able to marshall the troops alongside Jakobsen well for the most of the game. He made five clearances, two successful interceptions, and blocked one shot.
Michael Jakobsen - 8.5
Jakobsen looked good on the pitch in today’s game. Even though he is a centre-back, he registered one shot and created a chance as well. He had 59 touches and made 37 passes, both of which are the highest figures for his side. Defensively, he made two successful tackles, one clearance, two successful interceptions, and blocked a shot.
Gurjinder Kumar - 5.5
Gurjinder had a bad game tonight. He did not prove to be useful in any third of the pitch. On the offence, he floated in two crosses and took one free-kick. He did not look good in defence as Jamshedpur were able to break through NorthEast’s defence from his side. He was able to make only one clearance in the game.
Emanuel Lalchhanchhuaha - 6.5
Emanuel had a decent day at office. He registered two successful tackles and interceptions each. However, he was not very effective on the offence.
Jon Gaztañaga - 8.0
Gaztanaga looked very good in today’s game. He took three shots in total and played effectively in the middle of the park, especially in the second half. He had 55 touches and delivered 31 passes. He was effective in defence as well as he made one successful tackle, three clearances, and three successful interceptions.
Imran Khan - 8.0
Imran was very effective today. He glanced three shots in total, two of which were on target. He floated in three crosses. All these efforts led to the creation of one chance.
Jithin MS - 5.0
Jitin was not up to the mark today. He was able to create only one chance throughout the game. Barring that, he did not have any other meaningful contribution. Also, he failed to take a single shot in the game.
Matt Derbyshire - 4.0
Derbyshire had a terrible game today. He was not able to take a single shot or make any major contribution throughout the game.

Gaurav Bora - 7.5
Gaurav Bora performed very well after coming on as a sub and provided stability to his side’s backline. He made two successful tackles and one clearance in his 29 minutes.
Pragyan Gogoi - 8.0
Gogoi played for only 29 minutes and yet created two chances. It was unfortunate that his side could not earn anything from the game, but he seemed highly impactful after coming on. He had 33 touches, made two successful tackles, one clearance, and one interception.
Parthib Gogoi - 7.0
Parthib looked lively for the 20 minutes he was on the pitch. He registered two shots and created one chance.
Emil Benny - 7.5
Emil looked very effective after coming on as a sub. He played for only around 21 minutes and created two chances. However, he should put improve his crossing abilities.
Rochharzela - N/A
Rochharzela was on the pitch for only around 10 minutes, which was not enough to make an impact.
