Chennaiyin FC will welcome Jamshedpur FC to the Marina Arena in Chennai for their second ISL 2022-23 home game in a row. The Marina Machans will be nursing their wounds from a humbling 2-6 defeat at the hands of Des Buckingham’s Mumbai City.

Both teams have played five games this season. Chennaiyin FC are a win above Jamshedpur FC in the table. Therefore, this game provides an excellent chance for the home side to establish their playoff spot. For Jamshedpur FC, it is a chance to give an impetus to their season which has been stop-start, to say the least so far.

Thomas Brdaric’s men have had a mixed start to the season so far. They won their games in Kolkata against East Bengal and ATK Mohun Bagan. On the other hand, though, they have lost both their home games so far. Both were humbling defeats against FC Goa and Mumbai City, especially the latter.

The Marina Machans were hit for six by Mumbai and will find it tough to come out of such a huge defeat. They now face a Jamshedpur FC team which is struggling for consistency. This provides a chance for them to gain three important points which will establish them well within the playoff spots.

Aidy Boothroyd’s men have endured a frustrating start to the season so far. They will look to add some consistency to their campaign. The Men of Steel have some quality players at their disposal. But they miss some cohesion in the squad.

A win against the Marina Machans in their home would prove to be a shot in the arm for Aidy Boothroyd’s men. They also face a Chennaiyin FC side who are still licking their wounds from the battering they received at the hands of Mumbai City. Hence, they will look to add more misery for Chennaiyin FC at home.
