The past week saw several Indian players make an impact in the league.

The Indian Super League (ISL 2022-23) is producing sensational football every week. It is a very competitive league and the past week’s results only reinforce that. Hyderabad FC suffered their first loss of the season after losing to Kerala Blasters. Meanwhile, an in-form ATK Mohun Bagan were humbled by FC Goa in a 3-0 rout.

Jamshedpur FC’s poor start to the season continued after they lost to Chennaiyin FC. East Bengal gave up a two-goal lead to lose against Odisha in a six-goal thriller. Mumbai City made short work of Bengaluru FC, defeating them 4-0.

In all of those fixtures, Indian players were particularly impressive. Here is a look at Khel Now's ISL 2022-23 Team of the Week for Game-week 7.

Goalkeeper: Prabhsukhan Gill

Prabhsukhan Gill kept a clean sheet against Hyderabad FC. The custodian was impressive and had to perform well to help the team protect a one-goal lead to all secure three points. His command on the defensive line was particularly noteworthy.

Right-back: Sandeep Singh

Soraisham Sandeep Singh was impressive for Kerala Blasters. He was rock solid in the right-back position. He made five blocks and two clearances in a strong defensive performance. The 27-year-old could be a regular in the KBFC line-up in future.

Centre-back: Marko Leskovic

Marko Leskovic was the leader in defence for Kerala Blasters. It was due to his outstanding performance that Hyderabad FC were not able to score for the first time in the league this season. He also made seven clearances against the defending champions.

Centre-back: Anwar Ali

Stopping ATK Mohun Bagan from scoring is a massive feat and Anwar Ali was responsible for it this past week. The defender was fabulous in a 3-0 win over the Mariners and showed what he is truly capable of. Above all, he also had two assists in the game, an incredible feat for a centre-back. It only goes on to show why he's treated as one of the best ball-playing defenders in the country.

Left-back: Aiban Dohling

Aiban Dohling was equally impressive in FC Goa’s 3-0 win over ATK Mohun Bagan. He scored the match’s first goal to put his team in a strong position; it was a mind-boggling goal by the way! Furthermore, he made three clearances, three interceptions and two blocks, marking one of his best performances in ISL 2022-23.

Right midfielder: VP Suhair

Despite a demoralising defeat at the hands of Odisha FC, East Bengal fans had something to celebrate about. VP Suhair was impactful for the Red & Gold Brigade, perhaps for the first time ever since signing for the club. He made assists for both goals for his team. Overall, the winger created four chances in the match.

Central midfielder: Lalengmawia Ralte

Apuia controlled the midfield in Mumbai City's 4-0 win over Bengaluru FC. He also scored a vital goal at a crucial stage of the game. He played for 71 minutes, made 38 touches and ran rings around BFC midfield.

Central midfielder: Edu Bedia

Edu Bedia was one of the strongest performers for FC Goa in the 3-0 win over the Mariners. The skipper was immaculate with his distribution, creating four chances for his teammates. He did his defensive duties well too, making five clearances in the game.

Khel Now's Team of the Week for Gameweek 7

Left midfielder: Bipin Singh

Bipin Singh became MCFC’s leading goal-scorer recently and found himself on the scoresheet once again this past week. The midfielder scored the third of the four goals against Bengaluru FC in a convincing win.

Striker: Pedro Martin

Pedro Martin turned the tides during Odisha FC’s impressive 2-4 win away from home against East Bengal. He came on in the second half and scored a quick-fire brace (in three minutes only!) to help the Kalinga Warriors grab a brilliant win and collect three points.

Striker: Jorge Pereyra Diaz

Jorge Pereyra Diaz was a constant nuisance against Bengaluru FC. The striker caused the error from Alan Costa, stole the ball and scored past a helpless Gurpreet Singh Sandhu to score the first goal of the game. He has certainly settled well in Des Buckingham's contingent and will look to emulate his performances from last season.
