Find out how much a beer will cost at Qatar's best sports bar?

The Arab country will host thousands of travellers from across the world during the 2022 FIFA World Cup
The Middle Eastern state is highly religious with a ‘sin tax’ applied to all alcohol sales during the 2022 Qatar World Cup. While bars and hotels are charging extortionate entry fees to watch games as supporters look for places to watch matches away from the grounds.
Although alcohol isn't illegal in the host country, the laws and rules surroundings are very different from what we have become accustomed to at normal tournaments before. Organisers will allow alcoholic-beer sales outside of the venues before and after the matches, but there will be a complete ban on the stadiums inside.
Needing specific licenses and only being able to drink in designated areas will be some of the problems bidding fans will soon face. Those who do decide to make the trip can expect to pay hundreds more if they would like a drink while they are there given the country's laws.
£80 a beer
One of Qatar's most renowned sports bars will sell beers for a jaw-dropping £80 (AUD $140 or USD $92) during the FIFA World Cup. Earlier in the tournament, the venue will be charging £48 for group-stage matches. But fans will have to pay again if they want to stay for the next fixture.
A new report by the I newspaper has detailed the situation at the Champions Sports Bar in Doha’s Marriott Hotel. Where fans will be charged up to the equivalent of £80 a bottle to watch the semi-finals and finals.
Qatar’s World Cup chief executive, Nasser Al Khater said: “There are plans in place for people to sober up if they’ve been drinking excessively. The cost of watching matches in a bar is the latest headache for supporters travelling to Qatar for the tournament. With many already concerned over the lack of affordable accommodation in the host nation.
