The 2022 Qatar World Cup is set to begin. The 22nd edition of the world's most glorious competition is beginning soon and much is expected from it. Football is all about scoring goals and the top scorer will win the World Cup Golden Boot.

The first fixture of the 2022 World Cup is Qatar vs Ecuador which has a rather defensive style whereas Qatar has an offensive style of play. This can most likely end in a draw as well.

Afif is quite a renowned player in Qatar. The left-winger has played in La Liga as well before however he failed to get a goal contribution in 9 appearances. In 2016, Akram made history because he was the first Qatari footballer to join a La Liga club( Villarreal).

Akram has managed to accomplish excellent stats at Al Sadd. The World Cup host's winger has scored 76 goals and has 63 assists in 124 appearances for Al Sadd. For Qatar, Akram has scored 24 goals in 83 appearances. Akram scored his first national goal in a 15-0 World Cup qualifier match against Bhutan. Ali was the top scorer for both Asian and the Gold Cup. Almoez Ali also scored against Paraguay in the 2019 Copa America. His partnership with Akram Afif forms a threatening duo.

It is likely possible that Almoez can score the first goal against Ecuador.

2. Moises Caicedo

The 21-year-old is linked with many big European clubs. Moises Caicedo has already played in the Premier League with Brighton. The central midfielder filled in for Yves Bissouma when Brighton was in need of a midfielder. The youngster already has 25 caps to his name and can possibly score for Ecuador. In a defense oriented team, Moises will play from the left of a three-man midfield and can likely score for Ecuador.
