Chennaiyin FC players headline ISL 2022-23 Team of the Week for GW10

The Marina Machans in particular had multiple notable performers in the past week.
Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 is delivering fabulous footballing action every week. Keeping up with the trend of past matchdays, the previous gameweek has served fans across the country with a lot of entertainment.
From impressive victories to high-scoring matches, this past week's action was packed with exciting moments and memorable performances. Both foreign and Indian players took the centre-stage and made the most of it for their respective teams.
On that note, let's take a closer look at some of the standout players from the past week that make Khel Now’s Team of the Week for gameweek 10 of ISL 2022-23.
Goalkeeper: Gurmeet Singh (Hyderabad FC)
Hyderabad FC kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over East Bengal and a large credit for the scoreline goes to Gurmeet Singh. He was solid in his communication, made crucial saves and denied the visitors a goal. He made two important saves to keep the Nizams in control of the match.
Right-back: Nikhil Poojary (Hyderabad FC)
Nikhil Poojary worked his socks off in the 2-0 win as Hyderabad FC returned to the top of the league table. The full-back made three successful tackles and four clearances. On the other hand, he also created two scoring chances for his team in the final third.
Centre-back: Marko Leskovic (Kerala Blasters)
Marko Leskovic’s consistent performances this season have been the talk of the town. The centre-back opened the scoring (which was the equaliser) for the Yellow Army in a 3-2 win over Bengaluru FC. He also made three clearances and four interceptions during the game.
Centre-back: Anwar Ali (FC Goa)
FC Goa won their home fixture against Odisha FC 3-0 and Anwar Ali was one of the best performers for them. He made six clearances and had an 88% pass completion rate. He was crucial in keeping the opposition threat silent and helped the Gaurs build up attacking moves from the back.
Left-back: Aakash Sangwan (Chennaiyin FC)
Aakash Sangwan was the pick of the defenders for Chennaiyin FC in their 7-3 away win over NorthEast United. The full-back is playing his debut season in the ISL and made an assist in CFC’s win over the Highlanders. Apart from that, he also provided six crosses, showing a lot of promise while venturing forward.
Right winger: Mohammad Yasir (Hyderabad FC)
Mohammad Yasir’s sensational start to the ISL 2022-23 season continued as he scored a goal-of-the-season contender in a 2-0 win for Hyderabad FC against East Bengal. A left-footed volley preceded by some brilliant chest control gave the opposition goalkeeper absolutely no chance of making a save. He also won the Man of the Match award.
Central midfielder: Deepak Tangri (ATK Mohun Bagan)
Deepak Tangri was immense for ATK Mohun Bagan in their 1-0 win over Jamshedpur FC. The midfielder also won the Man of the Match award for his gritty display in the middle of the park. He had 70 touches on the ball and made five interceptions, thus brilliantly controlling the midfield for his team.
Attacking midfielder: Nasser El Khayati (Chennaiyin FC)
Nasser El Khayati was the best performer of the league in the past week. The midfielder got a fabulous hat-trick in a 7-3 win for Chennaiyin FC over NorthEast United on the road. In six appearances, he now has 11 goal contributions (seven goals, four assists).
In addition to scoring thrice, he also assisted a couple of goals against the Highlanders. It was one of the most memorable individual performances ever in the ISL.
Central midfielder: Julius Duker (Chennaiyin FC)
Julius Duker was a significant performer for Chennaiyin FC in their impressive win over NorthEast United. The midfielder got an excellent goal in the game and also provided an assist. Furthermore, he had 79 touches on the ball while creating two major scoring chances.
Left winger: Prasanth K (Chennaiyin FC)
Prasanth had a good outing in Chennaiyin FC’s 7-3 win over NorthEast United. The winger made an assist for the first goal that gave the Marina Machans momentum for the rest of the match. His presence on the right flank gave NEUFC a lot of headache as the player went on to make four crosses and take three shots on goal.
Striker: Noah Sadaoui (FC Goa)
Noah Sadaoui portrayed a performance that won him the Man of the Match award against Odisha FC. He scored a goal and made two assists in the 3-0 win over the Juggernauts. His involvement in each of FCG’s goals suggests his overall impact on the team. He already has five goals and three assists in nine outings so far this season.
