These clubs have won the most Italian Super Cup in history.
The Supercoppa Italiana or simply put the Italian Supercoppa is an annual trophy in Italian trophy. The trophy is played between the winners of the Italian league Serie A and the Copa Italia champions. The trophy was established in 1988 for the first time and since then it has been happening every year. Since, then, 34 Supercoppa Italiana have been played.
This year’s Italian Super cup will be played between AC Milan and their arch-rivals Inter Milan. AC Milan won the Serie A last season and Inter Milan is the defending Copa Italia champion. The Milan derby in the final makes it even more thrilling. The defending champions Inter Milan would surely be looking to repeat their previous year's triumph. The match will be played on Thursday, the 19th at 12:30 a.m. IST.

Fiorentina - 1 title
Fiorentina got their only super cup title in 1996 defeating the then Serie A champions AC Milan. They entered the final as the Copa Italia winners. Fiorentina have lost one final in 2001, to the then Serie A champion AS Roma. They have played both their finals as the Copa Italia Champions.
Sampdoria - 1 title
Sampdoria have also won the title once in 1991. They entered as the Serie A champions which is their only Serie A title to date. Having won the scudetto, it was a season full of joy for Sampdoria fans. They defeated the Copa Italia champions Roma to take the super cup trophy home. Apart from this, they also lost three finals in 1988, 1989 and 1994. They played in the first two Finals and lost to both Milan (AC and Inter).
Parma - 1 title
The Parma-based club have won the trophy once in 1999. They entered the final as the Copa Italia winners and eventually became the Super cup champions too defeating AC Milan. They also lost three finals in 1992, 1995 and 2002.
Napoli - 2 titles
The current Serie A leaders are having one of the best seasons in their history. They have lost only once in the league so far. With this current form, they will be playing in the Super Cup next season as the Serie A winners. Napoli have a total of two super cup titles in 1990 and in 2014. They also lost two finals in 2012 and 2020 to balance things out. It is to note that they have won and lost all their finals against Juventus only.
AS Roma - 2 titles
The club synonymous with Francesco Totti has won two Italian Super Cups in their history. These titles came in 2001 and 2007. They have lost a total of four super cup finals (1991, 2006, 2008, 2010). They were finalists in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010 but won only once in 2007.
Lazio - 5 titles
Lazio has a total of five super cups in their history, the latest one being in 2019. They won the trophy in 1998, 2000, 2009, 2017 and 2019. They were runners-up three times in 2004, 2013 and 2015.
Inter Milan - 7 titles
Inter Milan are just one behind their rivals AC Milan in terms of the number of super cup trophies. They have a total of six trophies in 1989, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2022. They are the defending champions and are again in the final, that too against AC Milan. Apart from winning six times, they also have four runners-up places in 2000, 2007, 2009 and 2011.
AC Milan - 7 titles
The Italian great AC Milan has won the trophy seven times including the first edition in 1988. Since then, they are a regular visitor to the final. They have won seven and were runners-up in four Super Cup finals. They won the cup in 1988, 1992, 1993, 1994, 2004, 2011, and 2016. Their most successful period was between 1992 and 1995 when they won three consecutive Super cup titles. They are also the finalist of the Super Cup 2022 to be played on Thursday against Inter. Fans would be eager to watch their team increase the total number of titles to eight.
Juventus - 9 titles
Juventus have the most number of Italian Super cups in history, a total of nine. The Italian club also leads the race in most Serie A and most Copa Italia titles. The old lady have won the title in 1995, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2018, and 2020. They not only have the greatest number of titles but also have the greatest number of runners-up positions. They have a total of eight runners-up positions, the latest one being in 2022 for the 2021 Italian Super Cup.
