The Midfield General - Dimas Delgado
Dimas Delgado is a well-known figure in Indian football, mainly for his heroics and tenure at Bengaluru FC under Carles Cuadrat. Currently 40, Delgado was plying his trade at Spanish side Monatnesa. He came to India after a two-year stint in Australia for Western Sydney Wanderers in 2017. He won the ISL with the Blues in 2018 and went on to play for them till 2021. After Carles Cuadrat parted ways with Bengaluru FC during the 2020-21 season, Delgado too left the club after the season.

East Bengal's preparation for the 2023-24 season
After weeks of ups and downs, East Bengal finally decided upon their head coach and on April 25, they appointed Carles Cuadrat at the helm. Speaking of their Indian contingent, they had penned a long-term extension with young prospect Lalchungnunga in December, 2022 itself.
In the foreign department, the club decided to extend the contract of their skipper and top-scorer last season, Cleiton Silva. Two more foreigners, Javier Siverio and Borja Herrera, both who played for Hyderabad FC last season, have signed for the club, as per reports.
East Bengal ended their 2022-23 ISL season on the ninth position. They played well in the Hero Super Cup but couldn't conjure enough brilliance to move into the knockout stages. Under Cuadrat, they'll aim for a better performance in the upcoming edition.
