Mauricio Pochettino set to clear out Chelsea bloated squad

Chelsea have currently 30 players, which has made training a challenge.
Once Mauricio Pochettino joins Chelsea, he will begin making preparations for the following season right away.
For the new head coach, who arrived in London earlier this week and is concluding being named at Stamford Bridge on a three-year deal on Friday, time is of importance.
Pochettino needs to make a decision on which players to keep right away since Chelsea are under pressure to sell players by June 30 in order to incorporate the proceeds in their 2022–23 financial statements.
After the campaign's last game, which will be played at home against Newcastle on Sunday, the players will only have one week to have one-on-one conversations with him before they go for their summer holiday.
In order to find buyers for undesired players before the deadline and maintain compliance with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, it is imperative that Chelsea act quickly.
Pochettino won't have the luxury of observing the team up close before he conducts a wholesale clear-out because preseason practice isn't scheduled to begin until the first week of July.
The Argentine is scheduled to speak with temporary boss Frank Lampard, who will serve as a sounding board for the negotiations but will also need to come to some tough decisions.
Mason Mount, whose future is still uncertain, is a crucial component in Pochettino's reconstruction. Mount's contract expires at the conclusion of the next season, and he is not close to reaching an agreement on an extension after negotiations with club co-owner Todd Boehly failed to make any progress.
The 24-year-old wants a deal that puts him on par with other senior players in the club, therefore Pochettino will urge Chelsea to reopen talks with him.
It will be interesting to see whether the club can persuade him to stay. The future of N'Golo Kante is also uncertain as he has not yet agreed to a new contract.
As Pochettino attempts to simplify the team, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mateo Kovacic, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are all expected to be given the go-ahead to depart.
