The Spanish club has already reached agreed personal terms with Joao Cancelo

Barcelona have made their opening bid for Manchester City duo Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva with a loan offer and an option to buy for €70 million.

Ilkay Gundogan, the captain of Manchester City, joined on a free transfer, and now Barcelona are looking at other prominent players who are now playing for the City citizens.

Barcelona is eager to add as many players as possible to their roster in preparation for the upcoming season because winning the Champions League remains their primary goal.

The Catalans place a lot of importance on two players to help make that goal come true.

The two Portuguese powerhouses, Silva and Cancelo, have been the subject of a confirmed approach from Barça to Manchester City, according to the Catalan news agency SPORT.

According to reports, the agreement is a one-year loan with an obligatory purchase option for both players of €70 million.

Cancelo is viewed as a great addition to the right-back position and can fill Dembele’s absence in Cancelo’s situation.

The full-back’s personal conditions have already been agreed upon by the LaLiga champions, and discussions with Manchester City constitute the last obstacle standing in the way of his signing.

Due to his intrinsic skill set in the middle of the park, Bernardo Silva, who was just named the Treble champion, is regarded as the last element in Barcelona’s core.

He looked like a faraway reality in contrast to Cancelo, though, given his invincibility in the Sky Blues’ lineup.

PSG have previously made arduous attempts to hire Bernardo, but City always rejected any offers for their star midfielder.

They are very significant to us. Pep Guardiola stated of Kyle Walker and Silva, “We expect them to remain here and are going to do whatever to make that happen.

As a result, Barcelona will have a difficult time acquiring Bernardo because City is unlikely to accept the present offer unless the player voluntarily announces a transfer.
