The Bundesliga champions have remained confident in their pursuit

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have submitted a fresh offer valued at $110 million for Harry Kane that also includes bonuses and payments.

This is understood to be the German club’s second offer, and the club has also set a deadline for tonight, which could see them abandon the race if the bid is rejected. Daniel Levy is set to make the final call on Kane’s future.

His conviction that it might be unjust to depart if an agreement cannot be reached before the opening Premier League match of the upcoming campaign serves as a reminder of his allegiance to his boyhood club, even though he has hinted he is open to the switch.

Naturally, Harry Kane doesn’t care about the money at all. He would eventually surpass Robert Lewandowski as Bayern Munich’s highest earner, but his stature inspired this decision.

In light of this, the Premier League‘s goalscoring history should be taken into consideration. He is quite outspoken about his desire to add that legendary honour to his scoring totals for Tottenham and England, and it has previously been cited as a justification for his refusal to relocate overseas. It’s an all-time high that’s also within reach after scoring 30 goals last season.

Yet that objective need not be abandoned if Bayern moves to Germany. A five-year deal is apparently being discussed, but regardless of whether it is fully fulfilled or not, Kane, who has painstakingly taken care of his body, may still be able to return in pursuit of the final 48 goals he needs to overtake Alan Shearer.

In terms of winning trophies, Bayern Munich comes the closest to being a lock. If Kane moved to Bavaria, his search for a trophy would almost surely end within a year, given that they have won five German Cups and had an 11-game winning run in the Bundesliga.

But what significance does a German title have for Harry Kane? It makes sense that it would inspire pride, contentment, and a sense of achievement.

Will his reputation or position have improved, though, because he helped Bayern win yet another championship without degrading the competition?

Spurs are nevertheless capable of winning the cup. Once again, the odds don’t fully support that impression. Sky Bet ranks Spurs as the seventh-least probable team to win the FA Cup or the Carabao Cup, probably due to their protracted domestic trophy drought.

However, Postecoglou’s ambition to succeed in those tournaments will be great, and they are bound to have greater focus than they have in recent years because he is coming off of a treble victory with Celtic.
