Borussia Dortmund have 'limited budget' heading into final weeks of summer transfer window

The German club currently have €8.5m to spend in transfer window
In the final few days of the summer recruitment season, Borussia Dortmund reportedly has very little budget to spend.
According to reports, Dortmund only has €8.5 million to spend on any other players they choose to sign. The reason for this is that, notwithstanding Jude Bellingham’s €103 million transfer price, only roughly 60 to 65 per cent of the money received will be used to improve the team.
There is not much money left for the club to spend after the additions of Julien Ryerson (€5 million) and Marcel Sabitzer (€20 million) in the summer and Felix Nmecha (€30 million) and Julien Duranville (€8.5 million) in January.
Sebastien Haller is going to be required to sit out a few games in January since he will be travelling with the Ivory Coast national side for the Africa Cup of Nations, Edin Terzic suggested a few days ago that Borussia Dortmund would want to sign a new striker. Anthony Modeste left BVB earlier this summer when his deal with the team expired.

Youssoufa Moukoko is another player who can play in that position for Borussia Dortmund, and Donyell Malen and Karim Adeyemi are both competent in doing so. Terzic, however, reportedly wants to be more physically present up front in recent weeks.
In a matter of days, the summer transfer market will end, and Borussia Dortmund has a number of spots where they could try to strengthen their team. The Black and Yellows, however, haven’t got too a lot of cash left over to spend on acquiring new players.
Should Borussia Dortmund really recruit a new striker this summer, it will be intriguing to watch. The other areas wherein Sebastian Kehl and the company might try to add additions before the transfer season closes are right-back and centre-back.
In the unlikely scenario that any players are sold, the BVB management will attempt to use the remaining funds to bring in an additional forward who will be provided with a goal-scoring commitment.
