FPL 2023-24: Five transfers to make ahead of GW 2
It can be a difficult task to decide which players to transfer in or out.
A new season of the Fantasy Premier League is up and running. With the conclusion of game week one, the FPL managers will be getting their thinking caps on and considering which transfers to make to increase their chances of scoring more points.
There are plenty of favourable fixtures in the upcoming GW 2 where some key players can score a lot of points. Furthermore, the FPL managers will aim to bring in players who showed good form in the first GW and were not in their squads or transfer out players owing to injuries and bad form.
There will be one free transfer available to the managers and on top of that, they might consider taking a four-point deduction or more by making more than one transfer into their squad. As the strategising begins for the GW 2, here are five transfers, both in and out, one ought to make to improve their squad:
Bukayo Saka
Bukayo Saka opened his account in style with a thumping finish against Nottingham Forest to help Arsenal secure a 2-1 win. The winger got 10 points for his efforts as he took away three bonus points.
Arsenal plays Crystal Palace in their upcoming contest and Bukayo Saka is a good bet for FPL managers looking to score more points. As of 16 August 2023, a total of 322247 FPL managers have already transferred him in and more are to follow suit.
Moussa Diaby
Moussa Diaby scored on his Premier League debut for Aston Villa. While the team lost the encounter by 5-1 against Newcastle United, Diaby’s performance raised a few eyebrows. The pacy attacker has been transferred in by 114752* FPL managers.
Despite his strong start to the season, Diaby is owned by only 7.7% of teams. He scored seven points and a fixture against Everton is likely to see him gun for more goals.

Kevin De Bruyne
