The Cottagers are looking to bolster their front line.

Fulham are reportedly in talks with Everton over a potential move for winger Alex Iwobi. The Cottagers have also registered interest in Sevilla star Lucas Ocampos as they look to bolster their attack following the departure of Aleksander Mitrovic to Saudi Arabia for €46m.

Iwobi has been one of Everton‘s standout players over the past 18 months, but the signings of Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison recently seem to have opened the door to an exit, should Fulham make a bid for the Nigerian.

The former Arsenal player has not been phenomenal by any measure as he has made 140 appearances for Everton and has netted only nine goals, but he has been instrumental in keeping the team from being in danger of going down to the championship last season. He has played a major role as the Merseyside has been narrowly avoiding relegation in the past two seasons.

Fulham on the other hand will have to be proactive if they want to sign new faces as the transfer window closes in three days on 1st September.

When you look at the scale at which other teams were doing business, Fulham were relatively quiet during the start of the transfer window. However, it looks like Marco Silva’s side are looking to tie up loose ends during the business end of the transfer window. The Cottagers have brought in Leicester City’s Timothy Castagne on Tuesday.

Apart from him, they have also brought in Calvin Bassey, Raul Jimenez, and most notably, Adama Traore.

But after a win against Everton, a 3-0 loss to Brentford, and Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Arsenal, a mixed start to the season has emphasized the need to strengthen in crucial areas.
