Al-Ittihad wants to make the star Egyptian the highest earner in Saudi league

While there have been rumours that the Egypt international is sought in Saudi Arabia, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reiterated that no proposal has been made for him.

Before Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League match against Newcastle, Klopp was questioned about the rumours regarding Salah.

Salah is rumoured to move to Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League, and they’re rumoured to be ready to pay the forward more than what Cristiano Ronaldo makes at Al-Nassr. Klopp has stated that the Reds are determined to hang onto their superstar and that no proposal has been offered.

“There is nothing to talk about from our point of view. We don’t have an offer, Mo Salah is a Liverpool player. There is nothing there, if there would be, the answer would be no,” he told reporters. Klopp then insisted that the forward is “100%” committed to the Reds despite the speculation over his future.

Salah has drawn attention from Saudi Arabia previously this summer. Ramy Abbas, the Egyptian’s agent, has also downplayed rumours of an exit. At the beginning of the month, he posted on Twitter:

“If we considered leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract at the club last summer. Mohamed remains committed to Liverpool.”

The manager of Liverpool, Jürgen Klopp, has stated that there are no worries about Mohamed Salah’s future at the club, despite the forward’s despair at not playing in the Champions League next season.

After gushing over Salah’s impact off the pitch, Klopp once more embraced the idea that, despite all of his advantages, the ex-Basel and Chelsea star is not nearly ready to be the team’s starting captain.
