Lamine Yamal impresses as Barcelona take their first victory in LaLiga 2023-24

Pedri and Ferran Torres scored two late goals
Lamine Yamal, the 16-year-old Barcelona sensation, was in the starting eleven in Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Cadiz as the Spanish club claimed their first win of the new LaLiga season.
Barcelona had to wait until the last 10 minutes of the game to find a breakthrough, but the teenager, as usual, made an impression with his performance and looked confident on the ball.
Whenever Yamal had the chance, he could captivate the fans with his attributes to beat defenders, and the players also came close to registering his first-ever goals for the senior club, but the Cadiz goalkeeper was quick to avert the danger.
Barcelona had a decent first half as Yamal made a massive difference on the right wing. He should have had an assist and a goal to his name before being subbed off in the closing stages of the game.

As usual, Barcelona had to play against a side with deep blocks, who sat deep until the end of the game when Pedri and Gundogan combined to score the first goal of the Catalan giants as the Catalans went 1-0 up.
Although Barca began their campaign with a 0-0 draw at Getafe, the well-prepared guests, anchored by custodian Conan Ledesma, appeared on course to pitch a shutout. Title contenders Real Madrid added to the strain by winning two from two with a victory at Almeria on Saturday.
Pedri passed to Gundogan, who then slid to finish the German’s return ball in the goal, preventing Barcelona from going goalless in their opening two La Liga games for the first time in 50 years. Robert Lewandowski subsequently set up Torres to score the second goal in extra time.
Yamal, a 16-year-old Barcelona player making his first La Liga debut, was the team’s shining light amid a crowd of just 39,603 spectators as Camp Nou is being renovated. Yamal did everything but make a goal-line interception.
