Liga Portugal 2023-24: Where and how to watch?
Benfica won the Liga Portugal in 2022-23
The 90th campaign of the Primeira Liga, the top competitive division for Portuguese football association groups, and its third campaign with the Liga Portugal moniker will be the 2023–24 Liga Portugal (also referred to as Liga Portugal Betclic for sponsorship reasons). The use of video referees as assistants (VAR) is now in its eighth season in Liga Portugal.
Just the top two teams in each country can advance to the UEFA Champions League (the winners go straight to the knockout stage, while those who finished second advance to the third eligible round), as Portugal decreased from the sixth to the seventh spot in the UEFA association value positions at the conclusion of the 2022–23 football season.
Although the team that finished third advanced to the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round, the Taca de Portugal champion advanced to the UEFA Europa League group stage.

Since 1984–85, no clubs from the Azores or Madeira have competed in the top flight of Portuguese football. The current campaign will be the first after that time.
Benfica won the championship in 2022-23.
