Inter Miami are scheduled to face Nashville SC in the Leagues Cup final.

Lionel Messi’s arrival has breathed new life into the soccer scene in the USA. In his 6 appearances till now, he has accumulated 9 goals and has guided Inter Miami to their first final in history. They will be facing Nashville SC in the Leagues Cup final on 20th August.

There were many moments in the tie between Inter Miami and Philadelphia Union.

In the 48th minute of the game, Jordi Alba scored his first goal for Inter Miami when he received an assist from Robert Taylor and ran down the left wing to put the ball in the bottom right corner of the goalpost.

In the 68th minute, a rare Messi mishap took place when he failed to score in the box as his close-range shot was blocked by a defender. Messi’s surprise was apparent on his face.

The last goal of the game sealed Miami’s victory when 23-year-old David Ruiz scored a goal coming down from the left wing.

Inter Miami will face Nashville SC in the Leagues Cup final, giving Messi to win his first trophy with Miami in just his 7th appearance.
