The 32-year-old Spanish midfielder joined the Merseyside club in 2020

Liverpool are open to hearing offers for Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara this month. Jordan Henderson and Fabinho’s departures could be followed by the exit of another experienced player from the midfield.

Having signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai in the summer, the Reds will have a completely new midfield. Jacque Talbot of Anfield Watch has reported about the transfer situation of the Spanish player.

The Merseyside team has also approached Fluminese regarding a potential move for Andre. However, Liverpool will monitor Thiago’s situation before making a move for another midfielder.

The Reds have been very selective in this transfer window. They needed some fresh legs in the midfield, and Jurgen Klopp has two young players.

After failing to make it to the Champions League this time, the Reds will have a lot of ambitions this season.

Thiago Alcantara made a move to Anfield in 2020. He played 30 games in his first season and scored a goal. The 2021-22 season saw him make 41 appearances for Klopp’s side. Thiago scored two goals and provided five assists. Last season, the 32-year-old struggled with fitness and made 27 appearances.

The Spanish midfielder has won the FA Cup and the EFL Cup with the Reds. His injuries have limited his time on the field.

Thiago’s current situation

According to Anfield Watch, Liverpool are open to offers for Thiago, who has just one year left on his contract at Anfield. They won’t consider offering the Spaniard a new contract due to his concerning injury record.

Sources in Brazil claim that the Premier League club has already finalised a move for Andre.

James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita are other notable departures from the midfield. Jurgen Klopp has a few young players to fill in the boots, but he will need some experienced players in the team.
