Manchester City make improved offer to Kyle Walker amid Bayern Munich interest

The 33-year-old defender joined Manchester City in 2017
Manchester City have made a fresh offer to Kyle Walker, as per reports. Pep Guardiola promised “to do everything” in response to Bayern Munich’s interest and the new deal might keep him at the club.
Kyle Walker has reportedly received a revised second deal offer from Manchester City in an effort to keep the defender.
Walker earlier turned down his initial offer from City in lieu of one from Bayern Munich, regardless of the fact that City’s offer was larger.
Due to his decreased playing time at City, the 33-year-old showed interest in moving to Bayern following the 2022–2023 season.
He also notified the team and his manager, Pep Guardiola, of his intentions before the start of the season. Walker, though, has been deemed “irreplaceable” by the Spaniard, who has promised to try to keep him from joining the German club.

“To lose Kyle and Bernardo [Silva] would be so difficult, that is why we are going to do everything to keep them,” Guardiola told reporters ahead of City’s clash with Arsenal in the Community Shield.
Walker needs to decide quickly, and City is hoping that the seasoned defender decides to stay. To try and underline their commitment to Walker, the triple champions have extended the proposal of a fresh deal to him.
Walker may choose to pursue an exit, in which case Manchester City will not obstruct him and will be open to suggestions.
Walker is the primary candidate for the right-back position at Bayern, but the Bundesliga powerhouses have not completely ruled out making another bid for fellow City player Joao Cancelo, who has spent the last six months on loan in Bavaria.
