Major League Soccer (MLS), the premier football league in the United States of America, is seeing an influx of high-value players. For the past decade, plenty of high-profile players such as Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and more have played in the league competition. Now, Lionel Messi becomes the latest world-class player to make the move to the MLS after signing for David Beckham co-owned Inter Miami FC.

Lionel Messi’s inclusion in the Inter Miami squad has raised the team’s value by a considerable amount. His arrival is not only a major step forward for Inter Miami but also for MLS in the grand scheme of things. More star players, such as Sergio Busquets, are making their way to the USA and increasing the value of the clubs in the MLS.

The league itself has several notable players and valuable teams. Here is a look at which teams rank where in the list of top 10 most valuable clubs in the Major League Soccer as of 2023:

FC Dallas – €45.7m

FC Dallas is the tenth most valuable team in the Mjaor League Soccer with a squad worth €45.7m. One of their most valuable players in the squad is Jesus Ferreira at €8m.

New England Revolution – €45.7m

New England Revolution is also valued at €45.7m. The 2020-23 Supporter’s Shield winners have notable players like Carles Gil (€5.50m) and Tomas Chancalay (€5m) in their squad which is rising in value lately.

Toronto FC – €47.1m

Toronto FC has a squad value worth €47.1m. The Canadian club has Lorenzo Insigne (€12.00m) and Federico Bernardeschi (€8m) in their squad who have the experience of playing at top European clubs and international football for Italy.

Seattle Sounders – €47.6m

Atlanta United FC – €52.5m

Atlanta United FC, valued at €52.5m, is one of the four MLS clubs with a squad value of more than €50m. Founded in 2014, the side won its first-ever silverware in 2018 by securing the MLS Cup. Thiago Almada, the winner of the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, is their most valuable player at €20m.

Los Angeles FC – €55.4m

New York City FC – €66.8m

Inter Miami – €78.6m

Inter Miami has become the MLS club with the most valuable squad. Lionel Messi’s arrival has skyrocketed its squad value to €78.6m. The 36-year-old is worth €35.00m in the market as of now. In addition to Messi, the Herons also have players like Sergio Busquets (€5m) and Jordi Alba (€5m) among others.
