The English topflight kicks off when Man City host Burnley at the Etihad

Manchester City vs Burnley at The Etihad will kick off the 2023-24 Premier League season. A lot of speculation has gone into predicting how different teams will perform in the League after many high-profile transactions have taken place in the transfer window so far. Teams have been very analytical in terms of what they want and have not shied away from spending the big bucks.

Before the League begins, speculation about who is going to win the league is rife. Four teams have been identified as realistic contenders to be English champions this season.

Manchester City:  Pep Guardiola’s have been given a 90.2% of winning the Premier League this season. Man City dominated everything in their path last season as they went on to become the second English side in history to win the treble. As expected, the defending champions will begin their campaign with a 90.2% chance of winning the Premier League.

Arsenal: Arsenal were hot favourites up until the last leg of the Premier League to be champions. However, they missed out on the title by just 5 points. Arsenal have bolstered their already impressive squad in the transfer window and have been given a 4.1% chance of winning the Premier League.

Liverpool: Liverpool had a below par campaign last season, they finished fifth in the Premier League, as a result they will not be seen in the Champions League this year. However, they have undergone a rebuild to their squad, particularly their midfield. The Reds have been given a 3.5% chance of winning the Premier League.

Manchester United: Erik Ten Hag presented Manchester United with a magical comeback in under one season. They finished 3rd in the League and ended their six-year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup. The Red Devils have been given a 1.7% chance of winning the Premier League as they enter as the dark horses this season.
