PSG nearing €80m signing of Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos

The French club is looking for Kylian Mbappe’s replacement
PSG are allegedly close to signing Benfica centre-forward Goncalo Ramos. Kylian Mbappe’s future is unresolved and the club is looking for a replacement.
Ramos made an impression for Portugal during the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, during which he grabbed three goals, and has since caught the attention of both Manchester United and the French club.
Goal claims that the Parisians are close to finalising a deal for the Portuguese attacker in which they would pay a transfer price of €80 million, their largest sum for a player this summer.
Towards the end of the week, Ramos will go to the defending Ligue 1 champions after reportedly agreeing to exclusive terms with PSG.
PSG earlier spent €60 million on midfielder Manuel Ugarte of Sporting Lisbon, and this summer, players like Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, and Lucas Hernandes have all signed for the Ligue 1 team.

The Red Devils were also rumoured to be interested in signing the Benfica forward, but they ended up signing Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta. In June, they were prepared to make a bid of almost £69 million to get him.
Ramos’ 27 goals for Benfica in all competitions this past season drew notice from the best teams in Europe, notably Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
In a short period of time, Ramos might become PSG’s second successful acquisition. Also on the verge of joining Paris is Ousmane Dembele, who will reportedly cost €50 million to acquire from Barcelona. Regardless of Kylian Mbappe’s destiny, he and Ramos might be a part of their onslaught.
Ramos’ purchase appears to be advantageous for all parties, notably PSG. They were looking for a striker since they wanted to strengthen their attacking lineup.
