The French champions are in talks to sign Goncalo Ramos

PSG are hoping to sell Kylian Mbappe for at least €200 million. With just one year left in his contract, the Frenchman is looking to leave the club in 2024.

Mbappé notified PSG last month that he would not exercise his right to a one-year extension to his deal next summer and reiterated his desire to stay in Paris and depart on a free transfer.

But following Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s insistence that Mbappé signs a contract renewal or leave the team he joined from Monaco in 2018 for £166 million, PSG will now consider bids for the 24-year-old.

According to reports, PSG feels misled since they think Mbappé and Real Madrid have already agreed to a free transfer.

Mbappé would continue to demand an exorbitant cost that only a select few sides could afford despite his contractual status.

However, the news will continue to be interesting for all of Europe’s top clubs, especially those in the Premier League. He has previously been linked to Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea, but Madrid seems to be his most probable location.

The current president of Madrid, Florentino Pérez, has been a fan of Mbappé, and even following the shocking extension of his PSG contract last year—a deal that was rumoured to include a salary of £20 million after taxes and an upfront payment in excess of £100 million—the striker openly discussed the prospect of joining Madrid and called Pérez a year ago to clarify his choice to stay.

According to reports, the reported deal also gives Mbappe the choice to move from the Middle East to Spain in 2024, with only Real Madrid having the authority to exercise such an option.

The talented 24-year-old is allegedly reluctant to travel to Saudi Arabia, but Al-Hilal’s offer of a way out may be attractive to him given the possibility of being barred from Paris for a whole year.

Although he earlier turned down offers from Madrid to move to Paris in 2017 and sign an additional deal in the summer of 2022, it is expected that Mbappe will ultimately wind up at Santiago Bernabeu.
