A month back Khalid Jamil was appointed as the head coach of FC Chitwan.

Nepal Super League club FC Chitwan has made a significant move by appointing Mehrajuddin Wadoo as their new head coach. This announcement comes as a testament to the club's commitment to enhancing their footballing prowess and pushing for excellence in the domestic football scene.

Mehrajuddin Wadoo is a name synonymous with Indian football. Having played for several top clubs in the country, including Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, and Chennaiyin FC (in the Indian Super League), Wadoo brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the game to FC Chitwan. His playing career not only spanned domestic leagues but also included international stints representing the Indian national team.

Wadoo's transition from player to coach was seamless, and he has quickly established himself as a respected figure in the coaching world. His experience and knowledge of the game make him a valuable asset for any team. His appointment is expected to inject a new level of professionalism and strategic insight into FC Chitwan's approach to the sport.

One of the most significant advantages of Wadoo's appointment is his ability to groom and develop young talent. This aligns perfectly with FC Chitwan's philosophy of nurturing local talent and building a strong foundation for the future. Wadoo's guidance and mentorship can help the club's budding footballers realize their full potential.

Mehrajuddin Wadoo's coaching career

Mehrajuddin Wadoo, after completing his tenure as a footballer joined FC Pune City's coaching staff and managed the U-18 youth side. Following that job, he took on the roles at Hyderabad FC, Sudeva Delhi and even Real Kashmir. However, his best stint as a head coach came in 2023, when he joined Mohammedan SC in Kolkata. Out of 10 games, he won eight and his side seemed unstoppable under his tutelage.

However, due to reasons unknown, the Black Panthers parted ways with Wadoo after he failed to get the club in the Durand Cup knockouts.
