About
Although he was a striker in his school team, Mehrajuddin Wadoo has stamped his class as a central defender and defensive midfielder at the club and international level. His father represented J&K in the Santosh Trophy. Wadoo got his big break when he left a limited career with Jand K Police for a professional contract with HAL. The muscular player with a delicate touch has made himself indispensable, playing for leading clubs across the country, including the big three in Kolkata. Wadoo has tasted some great domestic and international success in a colourful and varied career. He was a prominent player for FC Pune City in the 2014 Hero ISL and played with Bharat FC on loan in the 2014/15 I-League. Wadoo was the best right-back in the Hero ISL during Season 2 as he helped Chennaiyin FC to the coveted Hero ISL trophy, appearing 14 times for the Super Machans. Last year he came up with a goal and an assist for Chennaiyin, before switching to Mumbai City FC for the coming season.
