The 21-year-old met with the accident Mizoram

Kerala Blasters midfielder Freddy Lallawmawma has met with a serious shoulder and jaw bone injury yesterday. Lallawmawma met with a bike accident yesterday and due to the seriousness of his injury, it is still not sure when he will be fit to play again.

The 21-year-old young defensive midfielder had to be operated on yesterday itself with an arm surgery after meeting the dangerous bike accident in Mizoram. As per reports, due to the severe injury, he is still not able to talk properly as along with his arm, his chin and head have also been hurt.

Impact on Kerala Blasters

Freddy Lallawmawma, was slowly but surely proving to be an important part of The Tuskers family. With Indian international Jeakson Singh getting sidelined after sustaining a severe shoulder injury in a match against Mumbai City on October 8th, it was time for new signing Freddy to get an opportunity and protect the Blasters midfield from any further misery.

The Kerala Blasters No. 6 was trying to solve Jeakson’s absence but, facing this severe accident will add more trouble to Ivan Vukomanovic’s side which is already struggling with injury of several key players like Marko Leskovic & Aibanbha Dohling. Coach Vukomanovic will surely look to solve the issue fast, as his side is currently placed second in the points table and would not like to slip off from the brilliant start.

The young and skillful Mizoram-born defensive midfielder had signed for one of the most popular clubs of the Indian Super League (ISL) Kerala Blasters this season itself. He joined the Blasters for an undisclosed transfer fee for a three-year deal from the I-League champions and ISL 2023-24 debutant side Punjab FC.

In the two seasons he played at Punjab FC, he performed as a vital piece of the puzzle for the Shers. He was an integral part of the 2022-23 I-League winning side of Punjab FC. Khel Now wishes a speedy recovery for the young and dynamic CDM.
