Al Nassr lead race to sign Raphael Varane in January 2024
Raphael Varane has a contract until 2025 at Manchester United
Raphael Varane is likely to continue his career in Saudi Arabia after completing his spell at Manchester United. According to reports, Al Nassr are leading the race to sign the World Cup winner and reunite the player with Cristiano Ronaldo in January 2024.
Varane allegedly wants to finish his career in the Middle East, with the Frenchman capable of commanding a huge salary and long-term contract, even at this stage of his career.
Al-Ittihad are believed to have shown the strongest interest in him over the summer, but Al-Nassr now appears to be at the head of the queue for his signature.
Raphael Varane left Real Madrid in 2021 after winning four Champions League and three League titles. He came to Manchester United and won the EFL Cup last season. Varane has failed to cement a regular spot in the playing 11 at the Manchester club. He has suffered injuries and that have forced him to miss some of the matches.

The defender only has another two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, and there are not believed to be any talks planned over an extension at this moment in time.
It was reported that the squad has been unhappy over Ten Hag’s team selections and particularly the treatment Varane has been meted out in the last couple of weeks where he was dropped against Manchester City before being completely left out for the Carabao Cup encounter against Newcastle United despite being fully fit.
There is also uncertainty surrounding the long-term future of Maguire despite the England international recently managing to work his way back into the side.
The 30-year-old defender has over 50 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils. He has scored two goals for the Red Devils.
