Spanish club want Bruno Guimaraes in exchange for Raphinha
Even though Bruno Guimaraes recently inked a new five-year contract with Newcastle, elite European teams are still vying for his signature.
After joining the team in January 2022, the Brazilian midfielder has proven himself into one of the Magpies’ most essential players.
As of now, Guimaraes has played 74 games for Newcastle, contributing eight assists and 11 goals. The £100 million star is attracting interest from teams like Liverpool and Chelsea, as Football365 recently revealed.
It’s also said that Barcelona admires Guimaraes. There have even been rumours that his new contract would have a “secret clause” that would enable him to sign a cut-rate £60 million contract to join the Catalans.

But Barcelona will not be able to shell out the amount anytime soon because of their continuous financial problems.
To bring a trade over the finish line, the LaLiga champions may therefore present a part-exchange offer including one of their top players. They want to carry out precisely that, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

According to the source, Barcelona has made Guimaraes a top target in their quest to strengthen their midfield alternatives before the 2019–20 campaign begins.
Although the Brazilian “fit perfectly into Barcelona’s system,” they must be willing to give Newcastle “one of their best players” in exchange for the Brazilian’s departure.
