England announce squad for November international break

England have already qualified for Euro 2024
Considering the Chelsea winger's club shape, Gareth Southgate has once again left Raheem Sterling outside of the England team, choosing instead to pick James Maddison and Jordan Henderson.
Despite starting 10 of Chelsea's 11 league games so far this year and netting three goals, Sterling has been left out of Southgate's team since the 2022 World Cup in November. As a result, he now faces a serious risk of skipping the European Championships in the summer.
Reece James, who recently made his Blues comeback from injury, is also out, although James Maddison remains in after taking an ankle hurt on Monday while playing for Tottenham vs Chelsea.
The only other new player selected by Southgate's 26-man roster for the October international matches is Callum Wilson.
Both Callum Wilson, who did the same in Newcastle's loss to Borussia Dortmund the day before, and Bukayo Saka, who hobbled out of Arsenal's victory against Sevilla on Wednesday, are still in the starting lineup.
Another to keep making his picks is Jordan Henderson, whose status has become openly questioned since his summer transfer to Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.
After making two strong cameos for England so far in September's victory over Scotland, Eberechi Eze, who is anticipated to sign a new deal at Crystal Palace soon, is once again absent.
John Stones' omission from the October team was anticipated, as Pep Guardiola had stated that the player was going to be absent "for a while" due to an injury sustained during Tuesday's victory over Young Boys.
