FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023: List of teams to reach quarter-finals

Defending champions Brazil make it to the last eight
The FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 is heading into the quarter-final stage of the competition. Six teams have already confirmed their place in the last eight and four other teams compete on 22 November to earn a place in the quarters.
Defending champions Brazil became the first team to make it to the last eight after a win over Ecuador. Spain overcame a tough Japanese challenge in the second Round of 16 match.
Germany also faced a tough test against the USA. They won a five-goal thriller 3-2. Mali joined them in the last eight after a dominant 5-0 win against Mexico.
Morocco overcame the Iranian youngsters in their match. After a 1-1 draw, the match headed to a penalty shootout which the African nation won 4-1. Argentina defeated fellow South American nation Venezuela 5-0 to reach the last eight of the tournament.
FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 Champions England face Uzbekistan and France are up against Senegal. The winner of these two matches will face each other in the quarter-finals.
Uzbekistan U-17 defeated the English team to reach the last eight. This was the biggest upset in the knockout stage so far. France also made it to the quarters after winning on penalties.

Argentina’s Agustin Fabian Ruberto leads the scoring chart with five goals to his name in the competition. Kaua Elias of Brazil is just behind him on four goals.
Five players are tied for the number one spot for creating goals in the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023. Abdel Hamid Maali (Morocco), Charles Herrmann (Germany), Noah Darvich (Germany), Estevao William (Brazil) and Ibrahim Diarra (Mali) have registered three assists each to their name.
All these youngsters still have a chance to register more goals and assists in the remaining games.
