Portugal announce squad for November international break

Selecao will face Iceland and Liechtennstein
The Portugal squad for the November international break is out. Midfielder Matheus Nunes and defender Pepe are back in the squad as they Portugal will face Liechtenstein and Iceland in their Euro 2024 qualifying round.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a member of the Portuguese team that defeated Slovakia 3-2 in October to secure their spot in the finals.
Pepe returns from an injury layoff, allowing coach Roberto Martinez to make use of the final two games as preparation for the international competition in Germany next summer.
“The objective for him and for us is to be fit for these matches,” Martinez told a press conference.

The 40-year-old, who made his international debut back in 2007, “is an exemplary professional” with “a great deal of experience”, said Martinez.
