A series of high scoring encounters were observed in this past ISL gameweek.

Like every gameweek, the Indian Super League (ISL) featured a series of enthralling matches. Over the course of the week, six matches took place, with two ending in a draw and the remaining four producing a clear outcome in favor of one team or the other.

There were notable displays of exceptional performance in those matches. Certain players demonstrated excellence during their tenure, while others failed to live up to expectations on the field and were unable to showcase their true potential.

In this article we will look at the top five performers of the last week.

Dimitrios Diamantakos (Kerala Blasters)

Dimitrios Diamantakos performed exceptionally well for Kerala Blasters in the past week, displaying skill and determination in both matches. Despite the team’s loss against FC Goa, his performance remained consistently strong.

In the match against Chennaiyin FC, he made a significant contribution by scoring two goals for his team. One of these goals was expertly converted from a penalty, while the other showcased his remarkable ability with a long-range shot from outside the penalty box.

Javi posed a significant threat to Punjab’s defense as he consistently broke free and evaded their defenders on multiple occasions. Furthermore, he played a pivotal role in securing an essential equalizer during the match against Punjab FC, which allowed his team to secure a 3-3 draw. Subsequently, he relentlessly pushed forward in pursuit of additional goals.

Isak Vanlalruatfela (Odisha FC)

Isak exhibited exceptional skills during the match against Jamshedpur FC in their most recent encounter. Not only did he create several goal-scoring opportunities throughout the game, but he also offered valuable defensive support to his team. He even seized his chances to score goals, although, unfortunately, they were not successfully converted.

Cleiton Silva (East Bengal)

Cleiton netted a brace for East Bengal in a heavily one-sided encounter against NorthEast United FC. The player exhibited exceptional skill and maintained constant pressure on the opposition by consistently infiltrating their defensive line in pursuit of scoring opportunities.

Brendan Hamill (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)

In a week characterized by the dominance of forwards, Brendan showcased exceptional tactical skills and defensive prowess during the match against Hyderabad. He executed numerous clearances, further solidifying the team’s defense.

Remarkably, Brendan also contributed offensively by scoring the second goal of the match. His multifaceted performance proved crucial in securing victory for the team.
