This ISL gameweek saw all 12 teams in action.

It was an action-packed week in the Indian Super League with teams going head-to-head for three crucial points. It was Gameweek 10 of the Indian top-flight and the second last gameweek before we head into the international break for the AFC Asian Cup.

This week we saw all twelve ISL clubs go up against each other. Out of the seven games, two games ended in a draw while the other five games saw Chennaiyin FC, Kerala Blasters, Mohun Bagan Super Giant, Bengaluru FC and Odisha FC clinch all three points.

On that note, let us take a look at the three talking points from the week gone by.

Juan Ferrando’s Mohun Bagan got back to winning ways after dropping points against Odisha FC last week. The Mariners came away with a dominating 1-3 victory over NorthEast United in Guwahati.

It was their sixth win of the campaign extending their undefeated run to seven games this season. The Kolkata side conceded an early goal before scripting a comeback to remember. Deepak Tangri restored parity for his side before Jason Cummings and Subhasish Bose scored two more for the visitors.

Two time Indian Super League (ISL) champions Chennaiyin FC finally pulled off a victory against their arch rivals Bengaluru FC earlier last week. It was Chennayin FC’s first win over the Blues for the first time since February 2019.

It was also only their fourth win over Bengaluru FC, having defeated them thrice before, including the ISL final in 2018. Rafael Crivellaro and Jordan Murray scored two penalties and handed the Blues’ their fifth defeat of the season.

Former Indian Super League champions and last season’s runners up Bengaluru FC finally brought an end to their winless run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Jamshedpur FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

The Blues got off to a dream start under their new Spanish head coach Gerard Zaragoza. The Spaniard will hope to change Bengaluru FC’s fortunes in the upcoming games. He has won the title with Bengaluru back in 2018-19 as the assistant coach and will look to replicate the same as the head coach.
