Bayern Munich show interest in Barcelona's outcast Clement Lenglet

Clement Lenglet is currently on loan to Aston Villa
Once the transfer window returns in January, Bayern Munich are allegedly hoping to sign Clement Lenglet, a centre-back on loan from Barcelona. Lenglet, 28, joined Barcelona in 2018 after moving from Sevilla.
In 160 games in all competitions, he has seven goals and three assists to his name. The Frenchman, though, spent the 2022–2023 season with Tottenham Hotspur and the present one with Villa while on loan from the league since the previous season.
Bayern, meantime, is trying to bolster their defence in the wake of a string of injuries and bad performance. While Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae have had difficulty staying consistent, Matthijs de Ligt is injured.
While they have long been interested in Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo, the Bavarian giants are now keeping an eye on Lenglet, his colleague who is now on loan (source: SPORT via The Hard Tackle).

It’s important to remember that, despite having a respectable loan season at Spurs in 2022–2023—the team did not sign Clement long-term before he started his current loan stint at Villa.
The 28-year-old might be an invaluable asset at the Allianz Arena because of his time in the Premier League, Ligue 1, and La Liga. The Frenchman might be drawn to Thomas Tuchel’s record-winning Bundesliga team because it looks like he has no prospects at Camp Nou.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona have both had respectable season debuts. After 15 games, Xavi’s Barcelona is now three points behind leaders and fiercest rivals Real Madrid (38) in La Liga.
After 12 games, Tuchel’s Bayern are currently in second place in the Bundesliga, three points behind unexpected leaders Bayer Leverkusen, although they still have a game remaining. With one game remaining, Barca and Bayern, who have each won four of their five matches, will advance to the UEFA Champions League knockout stages.
