Six clubs with most Boxing Day defeats in Premier League history
Boxing Day promises to bring a lot of excitement to the Premier League
December has been jam-packed for all Premier League clubs over the years. A busy schedule gives momentum to the teams heading into the new year.
Boxing Day is one of the most-awaited days in sports and fans are excited to see their teams playing on the 26th of December.
Despite a disappointing decade, Man United have won 22 of their 28 fixtures on 26 December, suffering only two defeats – to Middlesbrough in 2002 and against Stoke City in 2015. Sheffield Wednesday, Blackburn, Burnley and Leicester City are the four other clubs who have avoided defeat against the 13-time Premier League winners, who average 2.48 points per game.
Arsenal and Liverpool are tied second in terms of most victories, with 16 apiece from 25 Boxing Day matches.
The results have not been positive for every team. Some teams have an unforgettable record in the Premier League. A look at six teams that have suffered the most number of defeats on Boxing Day in the Premier League.
West Brom – 8
It has been three seasons since West Brom last played in the Premier League. The Baggies have played at the top level for most seasons but struggled to keep their top-flight status in recent seasons.

Boro are another team with a poor record and a team that has failed to make it to the top flight. They last played in the 2016-17 season.
Everton – 10
Everton have lost 10 matches on the Boxing Day. They have played regular top-division football in their history.
