Kalvin Phillips is likely to leave Manchester City in the summer

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Juventus are interested in signing Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City.

Before now, Pep Guardiola has stated that he would permit Phillips to leave the team should the ideal offer be made for the English midfielder. Man City has extended an offer to Juventus for Phillips’ signature. This is Fabrizio Romano’s most recent update on Man City transfers.

In 2022, City paid £42 million to Leeds United for Phillips. He had a terrible run after joining City and was dropped from the team. Due to his lack of playing time, his place in the English international team was also called into doubt. Phillips decided to try a new challenge and restart his career for this reason.

It appears like Italy may be Kalvin Phillips’ next stop, as Juventus is eager to acquire the midfield player. It would still be a wise decision for Kalvin if he moved to Juventus, even though it is still very early to say because the negotiations are just getting started.

Given the size of the Bianconeri, Kalvin’s transfer from Man City to Juve won’t be viewed as a demotion. His doubters who challenged his status in the England team will undoubtedly have their questions answered if he can perform well for the Old Lady.

Juventus has made Man City an offer for a January loan arrangement. Fabrizio Romano claims that there will also be a buy option, in which Kalvin Phillips would relocate permanently to the Old Lady, something that both Phillips and City would want.

Additionally, Juventus are prepared to reimburse City for Phillips’ loan fee. The buy option, which Manchester City seeks to be required, is currently being negotiated. Fans should anticipate additional Man City transfer updates regarding Kalvin Phillips in the upcoming weeks as he gets ready to leave the team.

Significant progress has reportedly been made in persuading Phillips to think about moving to Turin, based on a post on Tuttomercatoweb. Now that the Englishman is amenable to the possibility of joining Juventus, negotiations with Manchester City can move further.

This move is complicated because Phillips didn’t play enough football and would require a lot of time to adjust to life in Turin.

A player who is currently performing and will arrive at the club with momentum is what we need.
