Nuno Santo in contention to replace under-pressure Steve Cooper at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are winless in the last five games under Cooper
Following rumours that Nuno Espirito Santo is a “top candidate” should Nottingham Forest decide to part ways with Steve Cooper, the club’s fans have spoken out about the player.
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, stated that Forest and the former Wolves and Tottenham manager “are in contact”. After their recent poor performance, when they have won just one of their last 13 games, speculation regarding Cooper’s future has grown.
They have dropped to 17th place in the standings after their most recent 2-0 home loss to Spurs. Cooper led the Reds to the Premier League, where they finished the previous campaign in 16th place.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s hiring at Nottingham Forest and possible player deals for Manchester United and Barcelona might have a big impact on these teams’ futures in the forthcoming transfer window.

He won just eight of his 17 games during his significantly less fruitful four months at Spurs, where his defensive approach to play drew harsh criticism.
Along with Valencia in Spain, Santo additionally runs Rio Ave and Porto in his own Portugal. Cooper, the former Swansea manager, took over at the City Ground in 2021 with Nottingham at the bottom of the Championship. That same year, he somehow propelled the team to the Premier League, where they would eventually persevere beyond all odds.
On Saturday, Forest will play their next game against Bournemouth, who are currently winning.
