Ronaldinho says Kylian Mbappe can win Ballon d'Or at PSG

Mbappe has finished in top three in last two seasons of the Ballon d’Or ranking

The legendary player for Paris Saint-Germain, Ronaldinho, has stated that he wants Kylian Mbappé, 24, to win the Ballon d’Or while he is still a member of Les Parisiens.

In contrast to Ronaldinho, who took home the trophy in 2005, Mbappé has not yet been awarded the esteemed honour. Even though the France captain scored more goals than ever before the previous year, Lionel Messi took first place, with Erling Haaland coming in second. Third place on the podium went to Mbappé.

While Mbappé is still at PSG, Ronaldinho wants him to win the France Football Prize because he considers Mbappé to be “a good friend and a great player.” The legendary former Barcelona winger told AFP, “A great player like him can have the chance to win the Ballon d’Or for any team, but as I love PSG, I want him to do it with PSG.”

Mbappe has scored 230 goals in 278 games for PSG, giving him an amazing goal-scoring record. This season, he’s already scored 15 goals in just 13 games, demonstrating his rapid rise to prominence.

In 2024, Mbappe seems to have a better chance of joining Real Madrid than the attacking player from the Premier League.

But given that time has already elapsed? Mbappé’s deal with Les Parisiens expires at the end of the current campaign, and the Ballon d’Or trophy won’t be given out until the autumn.

Although there is a chance that the former AS Monaco winger may stay at PSG until the summer, there have been numerous rumours about his summertime departure and no talks about a contract extension have been reported as of yet. Thus, Ronaldinho might not receive his wish.
