Is Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid from PSG on a free transfer?
Kylian Mbappe has agreed pre-contract terms with Real Madrid
When his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ends this summer, Kylian Mbappe has decided to sign with Real Madrid, as reported by French transfer market specialist Santi Aouna via Footmercato.
After infamously leaving Real Madrid at the altar in 2022, Mbappe renewed his contract with the Ligue 1 team supported by Qatar.
The Russia 2018 World Cup champion was free to talk with possible suitors since January 1, even though he was displayed at the Parc des Princes wearing a jersey that read “Mbappe 2025” after the renewal.
“It’s very important. As I said, we’ve got titles to go after and we’ve already taken one. After that, I haven’t made up my mind yet. I haven’t made a choice,” Mbappe added.
“With the agreement I made with the President last summer, whatever my decision, we managed to protect all parties and preserve the club’s serenity for the challenges ahead, which remains the most important thing. So let’s say it’s secondary.”

The Times in England said on the previous Sunday that Mbappe was considering other Premier League teams after declining a contact from Madrid due to his dissatisfaction with their offer.
But according to Footmercato and Aouana, a well-known source of transfer rumours in his own country, Mbappe will join Real Madrid in July following his deal with the La Liga powerhouses being finalised “a few days ago.”
In addition to being the club’s primary source of revenue, the recently refurbished Santiago Bernabeu forms a component of the worldwide posturing to place themselves ahead of nouveau riche Saudi Arabian and Qatari-owned clubs.
Mbappe may have the same mindset as England international Jude Bellingham since he too wants to win both team and personal trophies.
Even though he would have made more money at Manchester City, Bellingham acknowledged that Real Madrid’s reputation—built on 14 Champions League victories and an unparalleled 35 La Liga titles—was a major reason why he joined the team in the summer.
