Round of 16 will take place from 14 February

On the last day of the UEFA Champions League group stage, FC Porto and Paris Saint-Germain secured their spots in the round of 16.

The round of sixteen draw pots

Pot 1 (selected teams, group winners): Manchester City, Barcelona, Dortmund, Atletico, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Bayern, Arsenal, and so on.

Pot 2 (unseeded clubs, group winners): Porto, PSG, Lazio, RB Leipzig, Copenhagen, PSV, Napoli, Inter, and Inter.

As the victors of Group H, Barcelona moved on to the round of 16, but on Wednesday night, they unexpectedly lost 3-2 to Belgian champions Royal Antwerp.

Antoine Griezmann and Samuel Lino’s goals helped Atletico upset Lazio 2-0. The team played with great confidence and security.

Real Madrid achieved the full 18 points by winning all six of their group matches. They defeated Union Berlin 3-2 to close the group stage, with goals from Joselu twice and an injury-time winner from Dani Ceballos.

Real Sociedad won Group D after securing the necessary draw against Inter Milan, the winners of the previous season. They will have the opportunity to host the second leg of their round of 16 match at Reale Arena.

Sevilla’s 2-1 loss to Lens on Tuesday night means they are no longer in Europe.

On Monday, December 18, at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, the round of 16 draw will take place.

What date is the round of sixteen games scheduled?

After Monday’s draw, two-leg ties will be arranged for February 13–14 and February 20–21, 2024. March 12/13 and March 5/6 will see the second legs of each tie played.
