Thibaut Courtois to miss Euro 2024: set to stay with Real Madrid for recovery

Thibaut Courtois is currently recovering from an ACL injury
Nowadays, injuries have severely debilitated Real Madrid. Dani Carvajal is merely the most recent addition to a lengthy roster that also includes Arda Guler, Vinicius Jr., Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eder Militao.
However, Thibaut Courtois was the first member of the Merengues’ injury list this season. Late in the preseason, the Belgian custodian suffered an ACL tear that essentially sidelined him for the whole season.
Although the goalie has been making a lot of effort to heal and go back on the field, it is well known that cruciate ligament injuries cannot be healed more quickly than they are.
A crucial decision that Courtois made regarding his international itinerary will have an impact on his recuperation, according to a report from Radio MARCA.

The Belgian has notified Real Madrid that he would remain in Madrid to recuperate rather than go to the Euros with his country. His objective is to get back to 100% as soon as possible.
There was a chance the player would be ready for the mid-June start of the European Championship, which is scheduled for next year. His choice, however, just serves to highlight his priorities.
Losing Courtois, Carlo Ancelotti did not lose as much as was anticipated. The outstanding quality of the backups is one of the main causes of this.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has been playing well in goal since joining the team as a strong replacement. His recent injury created an opportunity for youthful Andriy Lunin, who has also improved and played brilliantly.
Regarding Courtois, he is recuperating nicely, and he may play again by the conclusion of the season. However, it looks like he has made the decision not to compete in the Euros.
