Real Madrid identify Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen as Kylian Mbappe's alternative
The Los Blancos are planning a move for Victor Osimhen
According to FootballTransfers, senior Real Madrid officials feel that Los Blancos shouldn’t be chasing the PSG attacker, which is causing an internal conflict inside the team.
If Mbappe fails to negotiate a new contract with the Ligue 1 team before the end of the current campaign, he will become a free agent. Since PSG signed him from Monaco in 2017, the major competition for him has been Los Blancos, with Real Madrid being the team he has been linked to the most.
Furthermore, Mbappe’s childhood idolization of Cristiano Ronaldo has made him a supporter of the Bernabeu team; yet, his ambition to don the fabled white uniform of the team may not come true.
The more experienced and knowledgeable individuals at Madrid think that Victor Osimhen of Napoli is a better option for the team.

There’s a sense that Osimhen is more stylistically similar to Karim Benzema, who won the Ballon d’Or in his final season at the team and then completed an unexpected summer transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
In addition, Osimhen fits Real Madrid’s footballing philosophy and brand better than Mbappe, who hinted at a possible free move to Los Blancos eighteen months ago before agreeing to a new deal with PSG.
These prominent Bernabeu executives feel that a deal for Osimhen would be a better use of the funds which could have been used to purchase Mbappe, who commands a hefty salary and enormous prospective signing bonuses that probably transcend most transfer costs Real Madrid have ever spent.
The Nigerian international is expected to be a major player during the summer transfer window, but given the team’s continued difficulties, Chelsea may decide to forego a deal in January.
However, Osimhen is undoubtedly part of Real Madrid’s transfer picture.
