Hyderabad FC are in a pretty dire situation at the moment, and their problems are getting seemingly bigger with each passing day. The 2021-22 ISL Trophy winners are yet to win a game this season and are currently placed at the bottom of the points table.
Additional misery have struck the Nizams, as three of their six foreigners have left the club midway through the season, due to the non-payment of their salaries despite numerous notices.
It’s not only the players who are complaining regarding their pay at the moment, but there have emerged numerous cases of complaints against the club regarding the outstanding payments, and unconventional delays in remuneration of the various services acquired.
In a recent tweet, 90ndstoppage also stated that, “Hotel Ramada GM based in Jamshedpur has filed a FIR against Hyderabad FC co-owners; Rana Daggubati, Vijay Madduri, Nitin Mohan, Rangnath Reddy, Suresh Gopal Krishna, Anthony Thomas for not paying the bills of 23 rooms over a span of 3 days during their away game against JFC.”
Amidst such dire situations surrounding the club, the Deccan Legion, Hyderabad FC’s biggest supporter group, has issued an official statement regarding the matter.
The statement from the Hyderabad FC fan group
“In 2019, passionate football enthusiasts from Hyderabad came together to establish the Deccan Legion, uniting in their support for the local club and creating a space to express their shared love for the sport. Throughout the years, we’ve stood by our team through both triumphs and challenges, without finding the need to make any public statements about the club. However, the current situation has compelled us to make one,” stated the Deccan Legion through their Twitter (X) handle.
“In the realm of football, victories and defeats are inevitable – a natural part of the game. Yet, the smooth functioning of the club relies on the dedicated efforts of numerous individuals, including players, coaches, support staff, and even the vendors who contribute to the team’s success. We firmly believe that every individual involved deserves fair compensation for their unwavering commitment. It is with deep concern that we address the club’s unacceptable delay in payments.”
“Today, we issue this statement not as a testament to our allegiance to the club but in support of those who have yet to receive their rightful dues. We implore the club to promptly settle all outstanding payments, respecting the contributions of everyone involved. While we will be in stand 3 as always, our current focus is on those dedicated individuals who persistently work to uphold the football club amidst challenging circumstances,” the statement ended.
