The Magpies are open to letting Callum Wilson leave

Callum Wilson, a striker for Newcastle, is someone AC Milan hopes to sign permanently this month. The Serie A team is reportedly interested in signing the England player, and Mail Sport has revealed that he is willing to negotiate should an offer be accepted.

Wilson’s loan request from Atletico Madrid was turned down by Newcastle, who maintain that Wilson won’t be leaving St. James’ Park in January, which has disappointed Milan. But there might still be movement if Milan offered a long-term plan at the right cost.

Wilson, 31, has 18 months left on his contract, so Newcastle would have to make a major choice if there was a sizable offer. After a four-week calf rest this month, Eddie Howe will be keen to hang onto his No. 9.

However, chief executive Darren Eales said this month that “every player has their price,” so if Wilson leaves, Newcastle could have to find an alternative quickly.

Benjamin Sesko, a striker for RB Leipzig, has been watched for a while, but his £42 million release provision isn’t activated until the summer.

Meanwhile, we can disclose that during the weekend, Newcastle turned down Bayern Munich’s offers for Kieran Trippier on a loan and a permanent basis.

The 33-year-old is not going to be transferred this month, according to the club’s continued position.

Once more, though, the player’s willingness to relocate and the potential for a sizable offer could still alter the circumstances.

Joelinton will have thigh surgery on Tuesday, as Mail Sport disclosed last week, and he will most likely miss the remainder of the season as a result.
