Crystal Palace injury update ahead of FA Cup replay against Everton; key player ruled out

Crystal Palace were held to a goalless draw at home
After a protracted injury layoff, Roy Hodgson has revealed that Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is back to Crystal Palace first-team practice. However, Michael Olise is not expected to be fit to play against Everton on Wednesday at Goodison Park in the FA Cup third-round replay.
The first match in south London finished in a scoreless draw, therefore the Eagles are travelling to Merseyside. The winner will host Luton Town or Bolton Wanderers in their backyard in the fourth round.
At the pregame press conference, Roy Hodgson did, however, clarify that Michael Olise, the December Player of the Month, will not be playing for Palace. Olise is currently recovering from an injury.
‘We have to wait on him. We don’t know quite how long but he won’t be fit for this game or the next one. Then we’ll see.’ “We have to wait on him [Michael], we don’t know quite how long for,” the manager said. “He won’t be fit for this game or the next one, and then we will see when our next game comes after that. He is working at it, of course, like all of them are.

‘The ones that remain out are Rob Holding alongside Joel Ward and Cheick Doucoure of course.’
“Jes, although he hasn’t done a session yet with the other players, he is actually technically fit to join in with us, so I am hoping on Thursday he will be on the field with us,” the manager said.
“It will be good to get him back. He was doing very well, I thought, before he got an unfortunate injury.
For 21-year-old Rak-Sakyi, Wednesday night could be too soon, but Hodgson feels his impending return is a major plus. But Matheus França, who began the first game at Selhurst Park, might have some possibilities.
