FA Cup: Liverpool vs Norwich City: Predicted lineup, injury news, head-to-head, telecast
A three-decade-long history is not on the side of the Canaries
Liverpool are in the 4th Round of the FA Cup. They will face EFL Championship side Norwich City. A 2-0 victory in the 3rd Round was no mean feat as the Reds had travelled to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal. Last time out they faced Premier League rivals Fulham in the EFL Cup second leg of the semi-finals. A 1-1 draw helped them win 3-2 on aggregate and progress to the finals to be held at the Wembley Stadium.
A daunting task awaits the second-division side, Norwich City. The Canaries have failed to beat the Anfield giants in the last three decades. Their last win over the Reds however came at Anfield itself back in 1994. To reach the 4th Round, David Wagner’s men had to play a replay of the 3rd round against EFL League One outfit Bristol Rovers. At the second time of asking, however, Norwich came out on top as 3-1 winners.

Norwich City (in all competitions): L-W-W-W-D
Players to Watch
Darwin Núñez (Liverpool)
The Uruguayan striker is the one to watch out for. As Mohamed Salah got injured while participating in the Africa Cup of Nations with his team Egypt, Darwin Núñez is a reliable attacking threat in his absence. In 20 PL appearances, Núñez has scored 7 goals while also providing 6 assists.
Josh Sargent (Norwich City)
The 23-year-old is trying to make a name for himself in England. Originally from the United States, Josh Sargent moved to Norwich from Werder Bremen back in the summer of 2021. Sargent may have failed to score against Leeds United last time out, but the striker had scored in the 2-0 win over West Brom previously.

Injury & Team News
In the AFCON duties, key player Salah injured his hamstring while with Egypt. Now the winger is in rehabilitation. Andrew Robertson and Dominik Szoboszlai should be fit enough to make the bench. Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold remains a heavy doubt. Other absentees include – Kostas Tsimikas, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic.
The visitors don’t have as many injury headaches at the moment. Only Danny Batth who suffered a hamstring injury in the 3rd Round FA Cup replay will be sidelined. Also, Norwich doesn’t have any player called up for the Asian Cup or even AFCON.

Match Prediction for Liverpool vs Norwich City
The history is backing Liverpool to win. And at Anfield, it is even harder for history to change at the moment. The Reds are likely to go through and move deeper into the competition.
