MLS 2024 new season will start in February
The MLS 2024 season begins on Wednesday, February 21 with Inter Miami CF vs. Real Salt Lake. The following weekend has a full schedule of Major League Soccer (MLS) activity.
Fans may watch every minute of play during the 2024 MLS regular season schedule on Apple TV with the MLS Season Pass. The MLS 2024 regular campaign lineup and transmission details were released by Major League Soccer today.
The 29th season of Major League Soccer (MLS) will begin on Wednesday, February 21 at DRV PNK Stadium, the earliest in the league’s existence. Real Salt Lake will play a stand-alone match against Inter Miami CF, the defending Leagues Cup champions, and eight-time Ballon d’Or recipient Lionel Messi. The game will only be available on MLS Season Premium on Apple TV starting at 8 p.m. ET.
The MLS clubs will be playing in 14 matches on Saturday, February 24, and Sunday, February 25, with the LA Galaxy visiting Inter Miami CF on Sunday. Back-to-back action will take place during opening week.
Thirteen of each team’s 34 regular season matches will be played away from home. In 2024, most games will take place on Saturdays and a few Wednesdays, having regional kickoff timings of 7:30 p.m.
Particularly in the days following the conclusion of the MLS Cup playoffs, the 2023–24 offseason will be hectic as clubs look to restructure their teams and as fresh college players look to enter the league.

When does the MLS season in 2024 start?
The 2024 Major League Soccer regular season is scheduled to start on February 21, 2024, and end on October 19, 2024. After that, the playoffs will continue until December 7, 2024, the day of the MLS Cup final.
Three days before the official inaugural weekend, on February 21, Inter Miami will play Real Salt Lake in the season’s opening game. The 2024 season will begin with Lionel Messi raising the red carpet at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
