There were issues all the way through, Erik ten Hag on Jadon Sancho situation

Jadon Sancho has now joined Dortmund on loan
Manchester United have finally got rid of Jadon Sancho, but for a short time after the England international completed a loan move for Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season. The forward joined United with big hopes of making a difference at the club but he continued to struggle and barely had an impact.
The appointment of Erik ten Hag thought the forward would revive his performance but that wasn’t the case as Sancho couldn’t redeem himself and things turned ugly between the manager and him.
A couple of the choices that Ten Hag has made for the club he has been unable to adequately defend. The coach is being interrogated about the issue with the players in addition to being accused of making needless transfers.
Speaking with Sky Sports, Erik ten Hag was questioned about the numerous stories that were being received.
“What absolutely went wrong with Jadon Sancho?” to which the coach replied, “He’s now at Dortmund, so after he was signed one year before, there were issues. I have had issues all the way through. And so you can make out his, so we’re staying here at Manchester United, so far he’s not a success.”
“He knows what he should do, and we have made that clear, and it was also so clear and obvious about his performance.”

Ten Hag was brought to Old Trafford, among other things, to instil discipline. According to some observers, he has every right to adopt the position that he has. Others believe Jadon Sancho has received unfair treatment, particularly in light of several other player-related incidents that have not led to the same extreme reaction.
United’s leadership has supported the manager. There’s a cost to this.
The team claims that they find the loan to Dortmund to be financially appealing. Sources close to Dortmund wonder how this is possible considering how their end of the bargain looks.
Without a doubt, United weren’t going to get anywhere close to what they spent for the player if they were to sell him in the summer. It is also difficult to see any team meeting a player’s £300,000 weekly wage. For now, going back to Dortmund makes sense.
Additionally, the area will provide Sir Dave Brailsford and Jean-Claude Blanc, representatives of Ineos, a chance to process the situation and decide on the best course of action. In that sense, Ten Hag’s destiny will be crucial.
Perhaps Sancho has always had this long-term strategy of waiting to see if Ten Hag continues as United’s manager.
