Victor Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer

To capture Victor Boniface, a great player for Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham are willing to smash their transfer record. The 23-year-old striker has been connected to Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Tim Steidten, technical director of the Hammers, is advocating for the significant swoop and may succeed in doing so before the opportunity closes. Since coming from Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium to the Bundesliga in the summer, Boniface has been a tremendous hit.

Steidten is attempting to arrange a contract with Leverkusen, his previous team. West Ham can afford to make a huge splash, and manager David Moyes is in favour of spending a lot of money on a proven striker.

Danny Ings and Michail Antonio are long-term question marks for the Irons, who may bench them both if Boniface is signed.

Given their high salaries, it would aid in maintaining financial balance. Later this month, West Ham may also trade Said Benrahma due to rumoured interest from French clubs.

Although Boniface only arrived at Leverkusen in the summer, they might be willing to sell him for a high price and then look for a replacement.

The strong forward is a youthful, dynamic player who has scored ten goals in the German top division so far. He also has longevity.

Despite missing the Africa Cup of Nations due to injury, Boniface should recover quickly, and West Ham won’t be negatively impacted by the layoff.

In addition, the Hammers have unexpectedly enquired about Jhon Duran, the striker for Aston Villa. The 20-year-old Colombian may want to move and wants more playing time.

Duran has other suitors, notably Chelsea, but Villa is unlikely to deal with him until a substantial sum is made in lieu of a loan agreement.
